这是一句最深情的情话，也是我现今觉得的最现实和最浪漫的情话。是适合男女双方的情话。

这个简单的情节和那句简单的话语一直演绎很多年，从新婚燕尔一直到垂垂老矣。有一天，老头和老太太的其中一个要去了，临终前用微弱的声音说：“我不能给你做饭了。我到那边去了，我会把饭热在锅里，一直等你来……”眼里噙着泪水、饱含深情。于是这屋里只剩下了茕茕孑立的一个身影。那话一直折磨着老人的心，每天走进屋子，他（她）都要先揭开锅盖看看，那里没有了冒着热气的饭；都要走进卧室，那床上没了有着媚态的伊人或满脸堆笑的丈夫。心情寂然。老人没有吃饭的胃口，躺在冰冷的床上看着窗外，期盼着哪天有一只蝴蝶飞来。在盼望中，老人觉得这世界没什么留恋，心爱的人在那边，于是他（她）决定：我找他（她）去。就为了“饭在锅里，我在床上”。
饭是物质的，但是用精神做来；我是精神的，但会给你物质的快乐。没饭吃，想浪漫不成；没我在，吃饭也不会香。这就是爱！没有信誓旦旦的山盟海誓，没有缠绵悱恻的动人情节，但就能使对方想把对方像饭一样的吃到心里，融进骨髓。这就是饮食男女的爱，也是最人本的爱。
一只男蝴蝶和一只女蝴蝶终于在一起了，又开始了“饭在锅里，我在床上”的生活……
